I think that the tern incremental is not well defined and often is used as synonymous with idle.

While factorio has some idle elements, and there are people who leave it running overnight to see what it produces, in unmodded game the main constraint on progress is your attention in building, defending and fixing the factory.

The closest to idle i've seen is the seablock mod, where natural play leaves you running it in background for hours to get materials to expand the factory.
