Hi everyone!

I'm happy to announce that we have a HUGE update today! It has a bunch of things, but the main thing is that it majorly improves performance.

Namely, for **laptop** players that haven't reached the endgame yet, some players on the Discord reported a 3x performance boost!

In the endgame, if you have a crazy number of bullets spawning, performance is still taking a hit for some players, but I'm prioritising fixing that for the next update, so I hope to have a fix for you all soon!

Also, if you're enjoying the game, I would REALLY appreciate it if you **reviewed it**. **If we reach 500 reviews with over 95% positive, we'll get the "Overwhelmingly Positive" tag**, and we'll get super boosted. LET'S GET THERE!

*   Massively improved performance. On low-end PCs, you can expect a massive boost in the later waves. On my own PC (RTX 3070 Ti and 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700k 3.60GHz) it brings late game waves from 100fps up to 300fps.
*   Fixed bug that caused the Explosion weapon to be useless against bosses
*   Fixed bug that caused some weapons to miss if you had increased how many projectiles you shoot (e.g. Radius, Shotgun, Cogs, etc.)
*   Made the Rebirth bonus multiplicative instead of additive
*   Buffed Flamethrower by increasing its damage by 100%, and decreasing its base aim cone from 60° to 45°
*   Buffed Electromagnetism by increasing its damage by 100%, and decreasing its base aim cone from 60° to 45°
*   Made Orbit deal more 35% more damage, but now has a maximum number of 10 enemies it can pierce through. This keeps power roughly equal, but greatly improves performance due to lingering projectiles
*   Buffed Shuriken by increasing its damage by 67%

-The game now has a save backup system. Every 10 minutes the game creates a backup, if for some reason you lose your save file, you should immediately quit the game, go to appData/LocalLow/Hadamanto/Dworf's Forbidden Gold and Delete the "saveData" file and rename the "saveData2" to "saveData". This should fix the problem. However, I rushed this system so I will try to improve it. If you need more help feel free to contact me

It's Friday and here's the patch I promised. We're still working through bugs but we'll begin also working on QoL and a bit of balancing beginning next week. Please be sure to leave a review as that helps us out immensely!

**CHANGES**

*   Effects of Drain++, Execute, and Gravity are heavily reduced against bosses (by 1/10th)
*   Added a 15 FPS setting to the FPS Limit option
*   Improved boss perk icons
*   Dungeon Results menu will now display gained exp up to 9999999
*   Dungeon Results menu no longer hides the current level of a skill if it leveled up (with the LEVEL UP sign)
*   In the Abilities Menu, moved the "All Categories" button near the rest of the Ability Categories
*   Stake, and Stake+ can now be used with Swords and Daggers

**FIXES**

*   Fixed Perk tooltips on Monsters not disappearing after a Monster has been killed
*   Fixed Total Dragnire Acquired bugging out in the Dungeon Results Menu if you got more than the max amount
*   Fixed drop issues for Crystalized Mana, Chromatic Dust, and Golden Acorns. They now drop in boss dungeons reliably
*   Fixed the odd cases where a bunch of dungeon objects would spawn at the start of the dungeon and bundle up
*   Fixed Workshop menu not updating properly after manually choosing a new character
*   Fixed Stake, Stake+, and Stake++ not filling between encounters

Today's SECOND Update! - Mass Buy Upgrades, Burst Mode Explanation, and More!

This update brings significant stability, balance, and performance improvements to _Desktop Heroes_. It also introduces key quality-of-life changes and sets the stage for larger content and balancing updates coming soon.

### Unique Item Lock Setting

*   Added an option in Settings to automatically lock Unique items when they drop.

### Skill Cooldown and Duration Adjustments

*   Various tweaks to balance skill cooldowns and durations.

**Settings > Save Tab Improvement**

With this feature, players can now;

*   Download and upload their save data file.
*   Transfer their progress to another account.

    Share the save file with us for troubleshooting purposes. This allows us to both fix issues directly in the save file (so players don’t have to wait for the next update) and also identify and address the root cause in upcoming patches.

*   Encryption is used to prevent data manipulation or exploitation of the game.

### Bug Fix: Map Unlock Issue

Hey coinflippers,

It's been a wild 12 hours for us here at EHG headquarters. Thank you so much to everyone for your support, we are thrilled that so many people are enjoying the game!

A few notes on what we're up to in the present and near future.

1\. I'm deploying a small immediate hotfix now that fixes a bug where the Medic and the Robot could accidentally create infinite loops. Oops! This one does screw over other players in any game where the infinite loop is created so I wanted to get this fix out right away so no one's game is negatively impacted. I've just pushed the build, so the fix should be live now.

2\. We're collecting bugs, crashes, typos and other issues through our discord and steam forums and will be pushing a larger hotfix patch to address as many as possible. This larger hotfix patch will probably take a couple days to a week unless we find any other game breaking issues.

3\. Long term, once we get the immediate issues and hotfixes under control, we're going to look towards adding some additional content to the game. We're not sure yet what form this will take or how long it will take, but we'll have more information down the line. No promises yet, but the main thing we've discussed internally is looking at a mode that would be more focused on replayability.

Under your pressure, the fog gradually recedes, and settlements begin to recover.

However, the throne of the island's king is empty, which means that a bloody war for the throne between the lords is inevitable.

According to ancient custom, lighthouses on such islands are lit with red flames, and only the Judge is capable of extinguishing the flames of discord.

Changes, additions, and improvements:

*   Added languages: German, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish
*   Feuds (begins on island 5)

*   Fixed a bug when creating a ring of power where one of the charms would not be added to the final ring.

*   Fixed bugs where employees get stuck and stop mining when their movement speed gets too high.
*   Added sound to the InfiniLadder when placed.
*   Employer miner speed passive effect now affects their gravitational fields. Miners will now fall down quicker under the effect, and therefore should mine down quicker.
