Victorian Idle

ADDED: CAMPAIGN SYSTEM

Last patch you had four minutes to complete each level. That's a reasonable time limit if you already know how to play, but if you're playing for the first time that's not long enough for you to figure out what's going on. Now there are three difficulty levels, and the first difficulty level is untimed, so you have a chance to figure out how to play.

On the timed difficulty levels, instead of each level having a short timer, all levels share one longer timer.

CHANGED: PRESTIGE MECHANIC

Now you can choose to stay at the final objective tier to try to get to the earnings target or you can choose to prestige and reset the objectives.

When you prestige, you keep your upgrades, and the prices stay the same.

You want to prestige if you aren't making enough money or the upgrades are cheap. You want to stay on the final tier if you're close to hitting the earnings target or you think you can beat all the objectives easily.

Welcome to the v0.4.0 content update: Drones! You're welcome to continue playing on your existing save, but this update contains some major balance changes and doesn't introduce any new late-game content. The next content update will have new late-game content!

This update introduces the Drone Hub system, a major new feature that expands the drone system with specialized drone types, upgrades, and a new currency. Additionally, significant improvements have been made to rock mechanics, balance, and overall game performance. See the full changelog notes below.

The Drone Hub Update

I posted here a few months ago when I announced the game and a few of you tried the early version of the demo I had on itch back then. I got some good feedback that helped guide what to focus on for this version. 

For the ones that haven’t seen the game before, you’re a moose on a quest to vacuum coins from the bottom of the ocean. Then you sell the coins to a coin collector (which happens to be a horse) and use the money to upgrade your gear to reach deeper and vacuum more coins faster.

The clip shows a jet stream tunnel that is created from the oxygen generator which you can buy in the upgrade shop and place out on the sea floor. The tunnel can be used to both travel back and forth as well as for sending coins back to the island for selling.

Over the last 5 months I’ve been updating CivRise continuously based on community feedback. The early prototype was bare-bones; now most core systems are in and playable.

**Major changes** :

KNOWN ISSUE :

* Web version show thick black lines scrolling over the screen, this is the shader displaying incorrectly with Godot Web.

   1. The entire structure has been changed.
   2. Zustand added → fewer re-renders → better performance.

   5. Added Pluralize to handle correct singular and plural forms.

Newspaper and propaganda

This is a huge content update! The first prestige layer, World Fracture, is here. The tool system is been implemented as well. Besides that, there's been a lot of balance changes and tweaks throughout the game. The visuals have been improved and a soundtrack has been added.

⬖ Added a new level to the Journal tool that automates embracing Mindful Moments with a 25% chance. Mindful Moments that will be auto-embraced are spawned a little bigger and in a different color. 

Note: as Mindful Moments don't spawn offline, this feature only works when the game is running.
