New UI Engine + Full Visual Pass — Almost every screen is now on the new artstyle. What you saw in v0.9 was the foundation. This is the building.

Studio Build Mode — Replaces the old studio upgrade system entirely. You're now placing and arranging rooms rather than clicking upgrade buttons. Art is placeholder, the system is not.

2D Visualizer — New seasonal visualizer is in. It changes with the in-game calendar.

Streamlined Creation Flows — Anime creation is down from 9 screens to 5. OVA contracts from 4 to 2. Fast, readable, done.

Localization System — The groundwork is laid. Translations can now actually be built on top of this.

Auto-Updates (Windows) — Small patches will push directly in-game from here. No more downloading new zips for minor fixes.

A Note on the Delay

The auto-update system means you'll get those fixes without needing to re-download anything.

# IGTAP: an Incremental Game That's Also a Platformer

What if Celeste was an incremental game? The awesome and talented dev over at Pepper Tango Games is creating a game unlike any you've seen in this space. Clear obstacle courses, optimize your path, and amass an army of clones to follow in your footsteps and get you crazy gains. A lot of developers are creating incrementals and idlers and I hope the best of success for everyone. These are just some that my friends are making that I really wanted to shout out.

Kin and Conquest

Some highly requested features are making their way into the game this update!

## Combat loadouts

*   Combat loadouts have been added! These are separate from the existing loadouts and can be accessed from the combat tab

    *   The Combat loadouts upgrade is required to access combat loadouts

        *   You can create up to 50 loadouts and assign specific loadouts to specific enemies
        *   Single tier purchase
        *   Costs 10m gold
        *   Requires a Health level of at least 75
    *   When you've assigned loadouts to enemies you're fighting, combat loadouts are automatically equipped during all types of combat, online or offline. Same as task loadouts, automatic combat loadout equipping requires having the existing Auto loadout token unlocked
*   Adding a cosmetic effect to an item will no longer make it unequippable in loadouts. Applies to both combat and skilling loadouts

## Clan changes

*   Clan vault improvements

    *   To better secure and manage your clan vault without having to be as selective with who you give vault access to, the clan vault has been split into different tiers. This allows clans to organise their items by value or importance, and restrict access to higher tiers for only their most trusted members

        *   Existing vault items have automatically been placed into tier 1\. Anyone who previously had vault access retains access to tier 1, so nothing changes until you start using these new tiers
        *   Both the leader and deputy leaders can grant clan members access to different tiers, but deputy leaders cannot grant access beyond their own tier
        *   Beyond the first tier, you cannot deposit items into a tier higher than your own access level
        *   When sending items to the vault, you now have an option to choose which tier it goes into
        *   Items can be moved between tiers by interacting with them in the vault
    *   Multi-select has been added to the clan vault to allow you to withdraw and move multiple items at once
*   A small new popup has been added to manage clan members instead of having the clan related buttons scattered in the player profile popup

## Group ironman changes

*   Group ironmen are now able to leave their clan and join another. This comes with heavy penalties and is generally discouraged - the goal after all is to stay with your initial group indefinitely. We're very aware that circumstances change and activity in groups often varies greatly, so we want to offer a way to continue playing your GIM if you find yourself in a position where your group is no longer a good fit for you. To keep things fair in the game mode, you cannot move items between clans. The only thing you'll keep when moving between clans are your levels, enchantments and token unlocks. More details below

    *   When you leave a clan, you will lose everything but the aforementioned progress. The clan you're leaving is able to claim the items you've given up.
    *   You don't lose anything when you're kicked from a clan. At this point, you have 2 options. Create a new clan and keep your items and start a new group from scratch. If you opt to join an existing clan, you will lose all of the aforementioned progress
    *   When you join a clan, you can't leave or be kicked from it for 14 days
    *   If you leave the clan after 14 days, you'll be put on a cooldown before you can join another clan. This cooldown starts at 2 weeks and doubles every time you leave a clan. There's no cap on this, so you'll essentially lock yourself out of the game mode if you leave too many clans

        *   There's no cooldown when leaving your first clan, to allow existing GIM players to regroup
    *   Kicking a player does not put them on an additional cooldown
    *   You can never re-join a clan that you've once been in
*   The "pristine" rank has been added to GIM clans

    *   Every GIM clan is pristine by default
    *   Visible in your clan page, clan recruitment page and leaderboards
    *   Adding a player to your clan that has been in a previous clan breaks your pristine rank. You'll be notified and asked of confirmation if you're accepting a player into the clan that would break your pristine rank
    *   To ensure that clans don't accidentally break their pristine, players who would break the pristine rank can't accept an invitation to a pristine clan. They'll need to send an application and be accepted. This is to ensure that you don't run into a situation where you invite a player that wouldn't break your pristine at the time of sending the invitation but would at the time of accepting it
    *   The rank is purely visual and doesn't have an impact on gameplay in any way
*   Group ironmen are now able to play the game without being in a clan. This means that you can now start playing new group ironman characters as you normally would before you're in a clan
*   Group ironmen previously skipped the tutorial due to the restrictive nature of the game mode and requiring you to be in a clan before you can do anything. No more, group ironmen now have the option to complete the tutorial as well
*   Added an informative popup about the Group Ironman game mode. It contains information on the game mode in general, leave restrictions/penalties as well as your clan history and future penalties if you were to leave or be kicked from your clan. This popup is shown on login once and accessible via the top right menu any time after
*   Fixed group ironman issues caused from being accepted to a clan whilst offline

## Character management

*   To make it more difficult to accidentally create multiple master accounts and get your characters mixed up between them, when logging in with a provider that isn't linked to any master account, you'll be told of it and asked for confirmation to proceed
*   Attempting to import characters that were already linked to another account would show the incorrect error message
*   You can now unlink your only log-in method if the account has no characters linked to it. This will delete the master account and allow the log-in method to be connected to another account
*   There were a few scenarios that could cause you to unnecessarily get logged out and even have your saved login credentials erased. Fine for most registered master accounts, it would just require you to reauthenticate. Terrible for guest users as they'd have no way to access their account without any connected log-in methods. These cases should now be handled better
*   Logging out from a guest account no longer clears your guest login info from device

## Other

*   Experience received from tasks is no longer rounded
*   Every button in the game that has a scaling effect on mouse hover now scales the same amount
*   There's now a 10s cooldown when removing a character from character selection before you can confirm the action
*   Fixed tasks with active cost modifiers not being startable without having the base requirements (for example, you'd need gold to start a Carpentry task even if you had fully unlocked the Plank Bargain upgrade)
*   Fixed confirmation popups requiring double confirmation not automatically closing on the second confirmation
*   The task stats popup now tells you the time required to max experience for skills at max level
*   BMM enemies no longer get partially hidden on some resolutions
*   Fixed an issue that caused some users to be unable to start an AFK raid even having the afk raid token unlocked and with a solo raid completion
*   There were a few combat and plundering scenarios that could lead to your inventory getting desynced. Fixed
*   Clan leadership handovers now use the timer feature of the confirmation popup to prevent accidents
*   You can now click yourself in chat to view your public profile
*   Android and iOS builds now have native update checking and update prompting
*   Some usernames on some resolutions would get hidden in the character selection menu. Fixed
*   Fixed an issue with auto quest moving from daily to weekly sometimes going idle. Another related bug was fixed in a recent update, this solves another scenario that slipped by then

Idle Clans

June 8th updates - Combat loadouts, clan vault improvements, GIM changes

The beta version of ascension mode is now available.

To access the beta go to ULTRATAP in your library, open it's properties, go to "game versions & betas" and enter the code "letmeinthebeta" in the private versions section.

Ascension mode unlocks when you've beaten the game and functions like a new game+ featuring escalating and stacking difficulty modifiers.

today finally the new Adventure Mode update comes live. Thanks everyone with their help in beta-testing the version 1.1.

# What is included in this Update

*   You can start a new game in Adventure mode, or convert your finished existing 'Campaign' game (as long as you finished the Final Scenario)
*   Same core in-game mechanics (combat, research and economy) as Campaign mode but different meta-game progression and high-level concept.
*   You do not ascend by reaching the end of the tech tree. Instead each game is played as a mini-scenario with its specific objectives (primary and secondary).
*   Scenarios are grouped into continuous series (called Chaos Worlds) - you keep the map tile upgrades, workshops and technologies between scenarios of a World.
*   You can control map resources and land shape via new powers
*   Completing a series of scenarios succesfully give you an extra progression reward and allows you to go back to you Home world.

*   Home world is your 'base' which you never restart or lose. It works as a sandbox but also affects your gameplay in other worlds.
*   There are new unique wonders and enemies exclusive to the Adventure mode Homeworld
*   New Lotus farming mechanism
*   New Lotus type - Jade lotus.

The current version of Adventure mode is about **20-30 hours** of gameplay (to master the last available difficulty).

Thank you to everyone continuing to work your way through the demo! Reading your feedback has been valuable, so please keep it coming! Today's update is packed with highly requested features, specifically focusing on giving you more readable data in the Metrics screen, as well as more control over your… well, controls!

Here is what is new in version 0.9.12:

**Added**

*   Added a new Controls tab in the settings menu that lists all keybinds. You can now freely rebind any key to fit your preferences.
*   Pressing ESC now toggles the settings menu open and closed. If you have another menu open, ESC will also close it.
*   The Research Archive menu now neatly separates your purchased upgrades into tabs based on their tech tree.
*   Building cards and upgrade tooltips now explicitly list exactly how much of each resource you still need to gather to afford them.
*   Hovering over the x10 and x100 bulk-buy buttons will now display a tooltip with the exact total resource cost.
*   Hovering over the MAX buy button will now show you exactly how many buildings you are about to purchase.
*   In SELL mode, hovering over x10, x100, or SELL ALL will show the total refund you will receive before you click.
*   The metrics graph now displays clean, readable labels on the Y-axis with intermediate grid lines to give you a better sense of scale.
*   Moving your mouse over the graph now draws an indicator and a tooltip showing the exact amount on the line, and how long ago that specific datapoint was logged.
*   The Rate view now plots net rate, production rate, and consumption rate simultaneously in distinct colours. Each line can be toggled on or off independently.
*   Added a new Sources filter dropdown in the Rate view that lists all buildings currently contributing to a resource. Unchecking a building removes its contribution from the graph.
*   The Rate view now features a visible dashed line at Y=0 so you can instantly tell when your net rate is dropping into the negatives.

**Changed**

*   The UI scale slider has been moved into the new accessibility menu.
*   The CANNOT AFFORD popup notifications no longer clutter the screen with missing resource counts, as this information is now integrated into the tooltips as described above.
*   Bulk buy buttons are now slightly larger and feature more space between them to help prevent misclicks.

**Fixed**

*   Fixed a progression-breaking bug where a specific megastructure incorrectly required a resource that couldn't be unlocked by that point in the game.

*   Fixed a visual bug where the Metrics graph Y-axis labels were clipping off the left edge of the canvas.

Steam Cloud support has been extended to macOS devices!

This should allow save data to sync between Windows and Mac. **However, if you previously launched the game on both platforms while Steam Cloud was not syncing correctly, please be careful when starting the game after this update.**

In rare cases, Steam may ask which save file you want to keep, or an older local save may overwrite your newer progress. If you played on multiple devices, we recommend checking the Steam Cloud sync prompt carefully and backing up your local save files before launching the game.

Hi guys, today's update improves drastically the load/speed ratio. I've read tons of complaints about this, about how adding load to the system would bring your speed down very fast, my bad. I am here today to change that. Load will still affect your speed, but in a way more forgiving way. Here is a comparison table:

This patch should fix the "my save is gone" issue. This version of the game has a new way of saving progress to disk, should completely erase that issue. If you find it, let me know, will get back to works on it.

The patch also improves the loading time of the game, should start 25%-30% faster, and if you play in window mode, the first 2 frames flicker is now gone.

The game now properly supports almost any aspect ratio. You can make the window of the game take any aspect ratio and the game should render fine. If you go for a vertical window (taller than wider) the UI will look a bit compressed but will still be playable. The game will also remember the position of the window, the resolution you set, and in what monitor it was. It will launch at the same place with the same size/window mode every time.

I have also removed the link to the wiki as it is no longer live.

I have added a new setting to disable the "F" key shortcut to switch window modes, you can find it in the settings section under the UI category.

The Balance Update you were waiting for!

Turns out that I've gotten my first international player, and they discovered that things broke under the hood when playing on any computers that used commas as decimal points. This should fix that. Never even thought I'd have to worry about that!

Prestige 1 felt a bit slow in the early stages, so I have added a new type of reward when prestiging: the **Sulphur Bomb!**

This bomb explodes four times in the same position, dealing massive damage over time. It is perfect for destroying thicker ores as soon as you descend into the Prestige 1 mine.

[p align="start"]Aside from that, I have improved the game's UI and overall clarity by adding a few new panels and features:

[olist]*   **Bomb Info Panel:** There is now a "Bomb Info" button in the base camp. It opens a simple panel showing your bombs' icon, name, damage, and radius. I will add full descriptions in a future update once localization and translations are finalized.*   **Reworked Ores Info:** The "Ores Info" panel has been completely reworked. It now displays the precise HP and value of each ore _after_ accounting for your skill tree and prestige calculations. This took a bit longer than expected to implement, but it is a massive quality-of-life update!*   **Skill Tree Navigation:** You can now navigate the skill tree by panning (click & hold). You can also quickly close the menu by pressing **ESC** on your keyboard or clicking the **right mouse button**.*   **Shrapnel Ore Visuals:** Shrapnel Ore projectiles now have a visible explosion effect. Previously, it was hard to tell what the projectiles were doing besides destroying everything. A new cyan/light-blue explosion now clearly highlights the impact.[/olist]

## Hello to all Widgeteers!

As promised, here's the next update in the Widget Inc. universe. While the previous updates mostly focused on late game progression, this one is more tailored to new players. So if you've been waiting to jump in, or start a new save file, now's the time!

Full update notes are at the bottom of this post, but here's what you need to know:

### Vaults Uncovered

All across the world, the sands have been shifting in response to increased seismic activity. As a result, vaults of ancient technology have been emerging from deep within the earth. Hack the puzzle lock that keeps the vault sealed, and claim its contents for yourself!

### Glitch Sparks

The destabilizing energy of the Glitched Frame has continued to wreak havoc on the planet - to your benefit, perhaps? Glitch Sparks now spawn intermittently across the world. Interact with them to reset your entropy and fill up your Glitched Widget storage, or discover the location of the Glitched Frame if you haven't done so already.

### Prestige Tree Additions

Of course, I haven't forgotten about the long-term players, either. A whole bunch of new Prestige nodes have been added to spice up your future runs.

Aside from the new nodes that improve the Vaults, a new "Void" terrain type has been added to give access to a true sandbox world. There is also the new Interplanetary Cosmodrome prestige node, that will allow your old save games to contribute to your current one.

**Added:**

*   Vaults now appear intermittently on the world map. Keep an eye open! Each Vault is guarded by a puzzle lock that must be hacked in order to gain access to the resources locked inside.
*   A whole bunch of new prestige nodes to improve the usefulness of Vaults even further.
*   New "Extermination Protocol" glitch ability (prestige node). This ability instantly kills all surface Troglodytes and repairs the damage they caused.
*   Glitch Sparks now appear infrequently all over the world. This spark of glitched energy will help you find the Glitched Frame (if you haven't already), and reset your Entropy to zero. Be careful: Using Glitch Sparks will reduce their future spawn rate, making them most suitable for speeding up the early game.
*   New Interplanetary Cosmodrome prestige node. Now, the Launch Facilities that you leave behind on your previous planet still contribute to your rocket productivity multiplier.
*   Added a small screen shake effect for earthquake effects that were already in the game (cave spawn, napalm, tunnel borer).
*   New "Buy available Tech" button, to purchase the first available Tech upgrade (automatically unlocked after first Prestige).
*   New "Refund Points" button in the Prestige menu.
*   Troglodyte Mobs now drop a bunch of Widgets as loot when you squash them by hand.
*   New "Void" terrain type for the Planet Selector and Terraformer (Prestige unlock). Useful for if you want to create a truly organized factory!
*   Warehouses on the world map now show an icon for the selected storage tier.
*   11 new achievements for the content added in this patch.

**Fixed:**

*   Loading a saved game while already having a save game loaded once again works properly.
*   Loading a saved game that starts in a Frame that has been deleted no longer shows a black screen.
*   Prestige tree nodes no longer activate when the mouse cursor is over other UI elements.
*   Caves should spawn more regularly, especially at higher Prestige levels.

**Changed:**

*   Glitched Widget locator trail no longer shows up if you're in a cave. Instead, it'll wait until you leave the cave so you can actually track down the Glitched Frame.
*   Reshuffled the Prestige tree a bit to make room for the new Vault additions (visual only).
*   Activated abilities are no longer shown if they are not relevant in the current context (ie. clicking them would result in an "invalid target" message).
*   Cave generation is now enabled by default (can still be disabled while prestiging).
*   Troglodytes no longer spawn while you're at Tier 1.
*   Troglodytes have a reduced spawn rate while you're below Tier 6.
*   Troglodytes have a reduced spawn rate if you haven't prestiged yet.
*   The first Troglodyte Mob that spawns now gives a status message warning.
*   Troglodyte Mob and individual Troglodytes have a larger hitbox to make them easier to squash while moving.

Widget Inc. Update: Vaults and Glitches, oh my!

Hi everyone, i am very excited to announce IGTAP will be participating in **Steam next fest**: **June 2026**. Next fest runs between the 15th and 22nd of June, and IGTAP will see **Further updates** ahead of it.

Last Friday, on the 5th June, IGTAP received a **major update**: a **demo extension**. For those of you who haven't completed it, doing so will reward you with a **raffle code,** to enter a draw where 25 lucky winners will receive a **free copy of IGTAP!**

On the 15th, coinciding with the launch of next fest, IGTAP will be updated with hard mode, a difficult update that will test players to their limits and beyond. Accessing this mode requires a completion of the new demo.

Steam next fest announcement, hard mode reminder

Hi everyone!

I'm happy to announce that Desktop Defender's biggest update yet has **JUST RELEASED**! The Forge Update has a crazy amount of stuff, and this post will go over all of it!

Also, we JUST released a **brand new bullet heaven called Wanted Shadows: Unchained**, and you can get it discounted if you already own Desktop Defender! Despite having tons of hours of gameplay, it only costs **$2.80 with the bundle**!

### Forging

After Rebirthing for the first time, you now unlock **Forging**. Clicking on this menu will allow you to **combine two pieces of loot** on the floor to make an even stronger piece of loot if they're part of a crafting recipe.

Crafted loot has a **new unique Ω tier**, and they're all stronger than the current maximum ∞ tier! They also use a mix of lower and higher tier loot to be crafted, so all sorts of loot is useful now even if you're far into the game!

This system (and tons of this update) is actually based on the crafting system in our other idle corner game, **Card Corner**! So if you like what you see, make sure to check that game out. **You can even get a discount if you already own Desktop Defender**!

Speaking of loot, we've **added 56 new ones**! That means that we've gone from **108 -> 164** loot types… **That's a crazy 52% increase**! Some of these are in E - A tiers, but there are 4 new ones in S tier, 8 in ∞, and 29 in the new Ω tier!

Because lower tier loot can also be now used to craft Ω loot, **we've rebalanced the loot rarity drop table** to make it possible for any rarity to show up at any level, while still not feeling frustrated that most loot is unusable!

On top of that, we've taken even more inspiration from ourselves in **Card Corner**, and added **Limited and Unique loot**. Some of the new loot have this label, and they limit how much you can equip, but are really powerful for their rarity.

### Compendium

We've wanted to add a way to visualise all loot in the game for a while, and this update was the perfect opportunity to add it! **The compendium** is a menu that allows you to not only **check all of the information about all of the loot** you've ever found, but it also **displays crafting recipes** for Ω loot!

Because this is a new feature and the game wasn't keeping track of your discovered loot previously, loot that is not in your inventory currently will have to be rediscovered. Fortunately, even **just checking loot that spawns on the ground automatically registers it to the compendium**, so it should fill up pretty quickly!

### Loot Loadouts

Being able to swap between loot loadouts is something that rebirth grinders have been asking for a while… And I'm happy to let you know that the feature is now in the Forge Update! **You get 5 loadouts**, unlocked through Rebirthing, and it makes testing different builds way easier.

### Rebirth Bonuses

Because we've added **tons more content**, but we didn't want to force you to Rebirth a ton to unlock it all, some Rebirth levels now have **multiple bonuses**! Notably, you now unlock Forging after rebirthing just once, and there are a few more loot loadout bonuses early on as well.

We've also added **2 whole new rebirth bonuses** with the highest one going up to **100 rebirths**!

I believe the current record for **max wave climbing is wave 430**, but with these new changes the ceiling should be lifted by quite a bit! If you want to share your progress, [make sure to join the Discord server](https://discord.gg/x7gxW73dgy)!

### More Levels

Apart from adding rebirth bonuses, we've also **added 15 more base levels**, bringing the **total up to 215**. These are not super strong… **Except for the final one**, which I'll be explaining in the next section!

I personally feel that the level bonuses have capped out at this point, with Rebirth bonuses playing a more important role by the time you reach this point in the game. Because of this, I'm leaning towards not adding more in future updates. **I'd love to hear your thoughts though**, on whether you'd like to see more or not!

### Wave Checkpoints

At level 215, you'll now unlock a new bonus that allows you to have **automatic wave checkpoints**! Previously, the maximum checkpoint was at wave 121, which made it quite slow to climb waves after a certain point (especially when you're going for the world record, which is about wave 430). Now, **every 10 waves sets an automatic checkpoint** with the level 215 bonus, so the only limit to your progression is the power of your build!

Reverted Infinite Scailing Repeatable challenges this caused issues i didnt foresee.

Anyone with a bugged out challenge when loading the challenge should reset its self to the correct required amount.

Version 1.0.6.1 — Homesteading Expansion Preparation

You can now check if you have unlocked an inventory slot from a pouch from the description. This can be useful when in the leatherworking menu as you can select the pouch item and see the status before crafting it in case you forgot whether you used it or not.

**Build 0.4.9** -Leather Pouches now show in tooltip if they have been used yet to unlock an inventory slot. You can also view this in the crafting page when you select it. -Fertilize All button will now only fertilize unfertilized plots.
