**Summoning Rebalance**
Major rebalance to summoning progressions throughout the game. Due to some of the other additions and game progresstion, i have deemed the need for highr tired unties earlyer in the game to be unneeded. The ghoul is to have you unlcok units more progressively. insted of dropping raits for rare units to make them arder to find i have adusted so not all summons unlock all units,
** Regular Summons**
- Unlocks Common and Uncomon units
- Can find duplicates of Rare units but no new ones
- Drop rates have been adjusted
**Super Summons**
- Can Unlock new Commons, Uncommons, and Rares
- Can find duplicates of legendries but no new ones
- Since this is no longer the top grade summons new drop rates for rares will not be as high as i had origanly pland They will still be reduced from 1:80 to 1:45 so still more common then current game build
- Still will have a "Free new draw" system but will be adjusted to better match the summons of the time
**Mega Summons**
- New higher grade summons
- This will be the late game summons
- It has a higher cost but has i higher chance of getting new rares 1:35 insted of 1:45
- Has a chance to summon new Commons Uncomons Rares And Legendaries 
- Will also somon units at a higher quality than other summons 
- "Free new draw" will be rare units

- Increased New Ledgandary Drop rate from 4%(1:25) to ~6% (1:17)

- Low HP AND damages itself 10% of its HP with each AOE attack

**Stat Adjustments**
- Made some much needed adjustments To MP and Wisdom for late game
- Wisdom now grows at a faster rate when you level up Making your level have a higher impact
- Later equipment upgrades will not have as high of speed multipliers
- MP growth rate lessened slightly on Equipment.
- Wisdom growth rate for equipment increased
- Cost of Wisdom in Church now grows at a lower pace than other stats making it cheaper and easer to upgrade to higher levels than other stast (this has a higer impact the further you are in the game)


**Equpment Rebalance**
- Tire up equpment now boosts its effects more
- New bass stat % ganes of equpment
- all % gains are compunding
- Base stat % gane doulbes 2X every 50 levels and 5X every 100
 - example: tire 3 equpment level 135 (bonis doubles every equipment tire not new just thought i should say it)  t3 = X8 * (2 50 levels) X4 * (1 100 levl) X5 = 1600% gain of base stat changes
 - example 2: ire 2 equpment level 53 (t2) X4 * (1 50) * X2 (0 100) =  8% gain to bace stat per lvl
- (This should be very helpfule for later game players who have high equpment levels behond the efficancy curve and usfulness of equipment upgradeds)

**New Account Screen**
- Account screen desplays your username 
 - You also have an option to view your password by UnHiding it
 - you will also be able to change your username and passowrd hear in the future
 - Login screen is now only for loggin in XD
 - new sign out button that clears cashes and removes save fils from computer and sings out user added to Account page

 - Gest accounts 
 - Gest account users who want to be able to sign back in can use this to view there Auto generated temporary username or password

- this shop is open during events and for 24hrs after the event ends
- you get "guild credits" baced on thr performance of your event runs

- ⛏️||Scavenging: After arriving at the second area, you'll discover something new that allows you to scavenge! This rewards you primarily with ingredients you can use for the next feature, with some occasional rare surprises 😉||

This is a small patch that addresses a couple issues that came up from the recent update.

>! If you weren't able to continue on the credits, and you've finished both endings but didn't get the final achievement the next time you load in it should be granted to you. Apologies for this oversight.

There was a way to exploit pausing time while playing by doing an Unstick action, but no longer! Hope you all got some free work days with that one haha.

And another error was tidied up.

Lumberjacked

v1.051 Hotfix - Time Exploit and Final Achievement

Apologies for the chaos around the past couple patches. There were some major changes around save data formats, data type changes, anti-cheat detectors, and many more complex things behind the scenes. A number of unexpected errors resulted from these complicated changes, which were causing loading issues, rollbacks of data, false-positive ban warnings, and more. Thankfully, I believe I've finally ironed out the last of the remaining bugs, and everything should be smooth and back to normal from now on. Thank you for your patience through this little rough patch!

**Backend:**

*   Changed several data types in the game to support numbers larger than e308, meaning there is now tons of room for new multiplicative bonuses, bigger damage and gold numbers, and much higher waves :). The potential progress for this game is now practically infinite!

**Bug Fixes:**

*   Fixed all bugs related to cloud saving/loading.
*   Fixed error preventing some Android users from loading the game.
*   Fixed false-positive "injection" ban warning on Steam, preventing some new players from entering the game.
*   Fixed memory leak bug causing the enemies to become unkillable or stop spawning while playing with 120 FPS or high quality settings.
*   Fixed bug where some pop-up windows would grow larger and larger if closed and opened quickly.
*   Unlocking new automation function/workshop slots now correctly adds to your gems spent challenges.
*   Various other minor bug fixes and UI corrections.

## What to expect in Melvor Idle 2?

Melvor Idle 2 is a direct sequel to Melvor Idle, with almost every single area upgraded or enhanced in some way when compared to the original.

We have taken everything we’ve learnt from Melvor Idle and cranked up the dial in hopes to create an experience that far surpasses the original. Melvor Idle 2 introduces brand new Skills, increases base game level caps, reworks existing Skills and completely updates the visual aesthetics to give a whole new look and feel.

I’ll go into detail about what to expect from the sequel.

## What’s new in Melvor Idle 2?

_Note 1: The below list details what the Full Release of Melvor Idle 2 will look like, after the Early Access period is finished.

*   **A Brand-New Look and Feel:** We have updated the graphics, enhanced visuals, animations, audio, and modernized the UI, all designed to make the game even more immersive and engaging. Some screenshots are available on the Steam Page linked above.
*   **Maximum Level 120:** Melvor Idle 2’s base game has a maximum level of 120 for every Skill, surpassing the original’s level 99 cap.
*   **29 Skills (5 brand new):** The base game will include 29 Skills for you to train, including 5 brand new to Melvor Idle 2.
*   **Quests & Storyline:** Engaging story-driven quests will uncover the rich history of Melvor that guide you through your journey. You will face powerful Quest Bosses, train unique Skilling content, and help save Melvor from devastation along the way. You can follow the main storyline which will guide you through the game at your own pace, or tackle many side quests that will take you everywhere.
*   **Day/Night Cycle & Weather:** Enjoy a more immersive experience with a customisable dynamic day/night cycle & weather system that adds visual flavor and atmosphere to your adventure. This is a visual only system designed to make the game even more cozy.
*   **Brand New Combat Mechanics:** A familiar Combat system, now updated with new mechanics that increase strategic decision making.
*   **Reworked Skill Mechanics:** Many of the Skills you are familiar with have been either completely reworked, or updated to suit the new gameplay.
*   **New Game Modes:** Discover fresh ways to play with never-before-seen game modes tailored to challenge and entertain players of all skill levels.

## Other Core Features of Melvor Idle 2

*   **Singleplayer Gameplay:** Enjoy an adventure crafted for you to play at your own pace.
*   **Fully Moddable:** Use the in-game mod manager to customize and expand your experience by downloading user-created mods.
*   **Offline Progression:** Continue progressing while offline at the same speed as when actively playing, ensuring you never miss out on growth.
*   **Updated Bank/Inventory System:** We’re adding lots of Quality of Life to the Banking and Equipment sections of the game to make it a lot easier to manage all of your items & gear.
*   **Cross-Platform Cloud Saving:** Play the same save on PC and mobile (when available) with integrated cloud-saving functionality.
*   **Basic Social Features:** We are introducing a Friends List, optional Cloud Profiles, and our own Presence feature which allows you to see how many other players around the world are doing the same action as you. Privacy options included.
*   **Offline by Default:** Melvor Idle 2’s client is offline by default. No waiting around for us to rework it and remove the online requirement!
*   Plus familiar features such as **Pets**, **Achievements (Including Steam)** and more!

## Quality of Life Enhancements

Here’s some information about what QoL to expect in Melvor Idle 2\. This list is not everything, only some notable ones:

*   **Current Action Tracking:** See all information about your hourly rates based on your current action. This includes Skill XP/hr, items used & gained/hr, Combat stats/hr and everything in between.
*   **In-Game Codex:** Your in-game repository for information on all content and mechanics. You will have the ability to search content, view information on their mechanics, see **Item Uses & Sources** and more. Always up to date, with plans to also support custom modded content.
*   **Event Log:** Tired of missing notifications for milestones, items, offline progression breakdown etc? You’ll now be able to view all notable events that occurred during your session.
*   **Visible Drop Rates:** Yep, you can see these now.
*   **Updated Bank & Equipment Management:** Placeholders, keyboard shortcuts, item tagging, Bank Tab names, Equipment set names, updated equipping menu from Combat itself, and more is being introduced to streamline this overwhelming area of the game.

## Technical & Platform Stuff

*   **Game Engine:** Godot
*   **Coding Language:** C#
*   **Release Platforms:** Steam Early Access first, then eventual expansion to iOS, Android, and any other storefront requested (Epic, GoG, Itch etc).

For those that want a **Web Version** - we do too. Unfortunately as of today, Godot with C# does not support web builds. We very much expect this to become a reality in time as the engine updates. When this happens, we'll get started on providing a compatible Web version.

## Monetization

For those who have been around for a while, you will know that we have strict preferences & values as to how a game should be monetized (See: Melvor Idle).

For the sequel, this is not changing at all. Melvor Idle 2 will have a single cost for the base game, with large content expansions being released to support the game far into the future.

For Melvor Idle 2, we believe in fair and enjoyable gameplay for everyone. That’s why the game will contain no microtransactions. Every player experiences the full base game without needing to spend extra money, ensuring a level playing field where progress and success are earned purely through your efforts.

## How much will Melvor Idle 2 cost?

**$14.99 USD**

This price will remain the same upon full release.

## Expansions

Following in the footsteps of Melvor Idle, we will be releasing regular massive expansions after full release to continue supporting the game for as long as possible.

The current plan for Expansions are as follows (How it works will be detailed at a later date):

*   Each expansion will increase the level cap, alongside story continuation via quests.
*   New content, Skills, Quests, and mechanics for all levels.
*   New permanent gamemodes.

We do not have a possible price for Expansions at this stage (Let’s get to full release first!).

## Free Content Updates

After full release, we also have plans to release smaller content updates for free to everyone. As Expansions can take some time to develop and release, filling the time gap with new fresh content for everyone is something we'd like to achieve.

## Why we decided on Singleplayer instead of Multiplayer

In the concepting phase for Melvor Idle 2, I researched the possibility of turning Melvor Idle 2 into a full multiplayer experience. That idea was ultimately scrapped in favour of retaining the core singleplayer experience found in the original.

To put it short - our preferred monetization strategy does not work for a multiplayer product. Introducing Multiplayer increases server & staff costs tenfold, increases staff requirements (server, moderation & anti-cheat), and puts a focus on “we need to meet this month’s costs” rather than “how do we make the next expansion amazing”. This means the game would need to have subscriptions, microtransactions, cosmetics, or some other form of continuous income.

On top of that, a multiplayer experience is simply not what Melvor Idle is about. We created a game where people can play and enjoy it at their own pace, rather than be constantly reminded of how far behind you are to those who started before you.

There’s plenty of great multiplayer Idle games out there with their unique spin on the genre. We will remain focused on creating the best singleplayer experience possible.

## Localization Plans

We love our international audience, and you are an important (and also large!) part of our dedicated community. We've reached far across the globe into many countries I never expected, and I appreciate every single one of you that has joined us on this journey.

This section is to provide information on how we will support multiple languages for Melvor Idle 2.

### Early Access will only support English (Officially)

Due to the ever-changing and fast-paced environment of Early Access, we will only be supporting English as the official language during this period.

Localizing content can take up to 8 weeks depending on how many changes there are. We have plans to update the game in early access on the regular, so adding language support is not viable and would only delay content or changes even more. This is the same process we followed with Melvor Idle during Early Access.

### Official Localization near Full Release

As we near Full Release, we will implement official support for multiple languages. The languages that will be supported will closely resemble the ones that Melvor Idle currently supports.

### Community Language Packs via Mod Manager

Something new to Melvor Idle 2 - we have plans to directly support community language packs that can be downloaded via the Mod Manager.

If there’s a language we do not officially support yet, the community will be able to create their own and upload it to our Mod Manager. This will be made available during Early Access as a feature of the mod manager.

Note that this will not replace official localization. Any official languages we support will be translated by a 3rd party and checked for quality prior to being officially added.

## The Plan Moving Forward - News & Playtesting

This section details how you will learn more about the game, and how/when you may be able to dig in and get your hands dirty.

### Patreon

Starting in the next week or so, we will begin posting regular news posts to Patreon (every 1-2 weeks) detailing many aspects of the game, and what the team has been up to since the last post.

Those who sign up to at least the Supporter tier will be able to see exactly where we are at with development in real time, and provide any and all feedback/suggestions while we work towards our Early Access Launch.

On top of this, the Elite Supporter Patreon tier and above will soon gain access to the current Alpha version of the game (via Steam). You will be able to play the game in its current state, provide feedback and suggestions, and help us make the best experience possible.

### Free Playtesting via Steam

Those who do not wish to sign up to Patreon can look forward to free playtesting via Steam. Every few months, we will open the flood gates for everyone to come play the game in its current state for a limited time in an effort to get as much community feedback as possible before we launch in Early Access.

The idea behind the playtests is to ensure we can listen to everyone, and adjust based on the feedback we receive. We want to work alongside you all to create one of the best singleplayer idle games possible.

Playtesting will come with Surveys and News Posts to ensure we are gathering any and all feedback possible.

### Steam Next Fest

Right before we release into Early Access, we will participate in Steam Next Fest. We are only allowed to participate in one, so it will be whichever one comes before our potential release date.

The team is happy to put up a hotfix after we found a very annoying bug that was making it so that during the climax of the game it was switching back to English when you were playing in other languages.

Very sorry if anyone got that! If anyone sees anything like it, please let us know. (Or if we haven't fixed it)

*   There will be a star next to the best zone each day, so it will be easier to tell what is the best zone for today.
*   Added FPS Counter option to the settings under the "Video" Tab
*   You will be able to choose the FPS counter position - for example: Top Middle, Top Left, Bottom Right, and so on.
*   [Mobile] You will get away income if the application was unfocused for more than 3 minutes, so even if you don't close the game, the away income will work as intended.
*   Added "Recover from backup" to the panel you see when your save is corrupted(due to power outages and stuff like that), no need to manually recover from backups anymore.
*   [Mobile] Option to watch an ad to get extra away income, even if you don't instantly watch the ad, you will be offered to do it later for few minutes.
*   [Mobile] Claim the daily rewards from the premium shop multiple times by watching ads, for example get more gems/other currency per day by watching ads.
*   Made the fishing line more transparent
*   New setting to show/hide fishing lines
*   Many more things that I didn't write down, mostly new things to make the mobile experience better.

## Changed/Fixed

*   Massive performance boost for Steam and Mobile versions
*   Catch X Common Fish daily quests will no longer be offered after the first rebirth.
*   Did it because after the first rebirth your chances of catching common fish is very low, so it takes long time to finish.
*   Many small things that I didn't write down, but nothing major.
