I didn't understand why clicking on the listed items on the left didn't seem to do anything. Then I realized that, if you click on the line which the item is on, it only highlights the line, but doesn't select anything, and that you have to, in fact, click on the item text itself.

I almost gave up after the first few minutes because of this, since I couldn't find the first button I could click.
