Loop For a While review

I'd recommend it as a game. However, I don't really see why it's an incremental, or even "incremental-ish."

The core gameplay is mainly a puzzle/time-loop game. I don't really see the usual "numbers go up" aspect. Sure, your skills increase, like in almost any RPG or game with a skill system, but that alone doesn't make it an incremental game, otherwise every RPG would qualify as one.

It's not a bad game, though it's very slow to be honest. Also, the "arcane energy" used to speed things up, why is that even a currency? It feels like it's only there to artificially extend the game's length and make a gameplay already slow even slower. In time-loop games, having x2 or x4 speed should be a basic feature, otherwise you're just watching the character very slowly walk toward objects, very slowly fight enemies, and so on. It should be a given, not something you have to grind for.

The game also pauses when you tab out, so there's no idle progression while doing other things. You have to actively keep the game open and play it in order to progress.

On the other hand, the art and sounds are nice, but the gameplay is very slow and you have to actively keep the tab open, otherwise it won't work.
