This is a loop game where you play through one life, die, get bonuses based on that life, and start a new life (with the option of either playing from the same background, or a different one). Very active play.
I played through the first life and then quit rather than continue, because this is a demo and it more than sold me enough on the full game. If this were the full game, a few hours of my life probably would have immediately disappeared instead.
Rating it as a prototype/sales pitch, easy 5 stars.
Only points of criticism I have are:
-
I felt a bit overwhelmed later in the life as I both A) had a ton more options expanding and B) realized that time was continuing to tick down, and I didn't realize until after I died that there's actually a pause button in the lower right; would be good if that was pointed out in the tutorial, and

I wish hovering over the age bar showed the values for them ("days" per segment). Days are "spent" like a currency when unlocking/navigating to certain tasks, but it's very hard to make a value judgement there when I don't know how many days I have to spend.
