Arcane Angler review

The game itself isn't terrible, but it falls into two major pitfalls that turn me away pretty quickly despite my love of fishing games. 1.) The UI is too clunky, there's too many menus and so many of them feel bad, unnecessary, or unexplained. 2.) Idling has two costs, the fish you catch are worth less, and to even idle at all, you have to spend skill points, which could also be spent to increase your stats. This is always a terrible choice when it comes to games like this that aren't engaging enough to "play" actively for more than a few moments.
I think it has promise, and again I'm biased cause I love fishing games, but where it is now just feels really bad.
