The concept is a bit simple but has some merits.

but overall the implementation leaves it messy and hard to get an overview, theres no real sense of direction to anything you do here. just spam random upgrades, prestige, repeat.

Visually its decent and with some tweaks to the way the mechanics work to make it feel more intentional which upgrade to pick i'd give it another go.
