I tried this game out because I saw it being talked about, and when I saw that it was Active I thought it would be short, like an hour long. It’s not though. After playing for a few hours I checked the game length online and saw 59 hours. That was disappointing for me personally.
Another disappointment was that the game has walls despite being active. It’s not that you don’t need to idle to overcome these walls - it’s that you can’t. Neither will an autoclicker help you go faster. To draw a comparison to an older game, this plays like Mine Defense minus clicking.
I saw a video online talking about how there’s a set strategy for the pre-1.0 version, and that the random availability of upgrades in 1.0 changes it to more of a roguelike. But the length of the game makes it very much not like a roguelike.
I will say the aesthetic of the game is nice, and one of the things that drew me in for the few hours I did play it.
Overall, it has some appealing features but the walls repel me. I don’t plan to continue.
