little character is nothing but visual. the game could be the same without him. this means that I don't understand why he is there in the first place and why the bombs are thrown from him. if the bombs hit the first rock they touched as if they were objects in a side view game, I would understand, but they hit exactly where I click with the mouse so what is the point of having the little character and making the bombs travel from him to where I clicked?
I also see no point in having to collect the resources dropped with the mouse, what does that add to game?
I feel like the nodebuster gameplay doesn't work very well because the game has no skill in it, sure there are ores that do stuff when hit but they don't matter because I'm still rewarded from just clicking at the 5 same spots everytime. This game is not idle so it requires my full attention and presence to play. If you're requiring my full attention to play then it should reward me for playing well. I am not thinking about the upgrades I am getting nor am I thinking about where I am throwing the bombs because it doesn't matter, I just click at 5 spots and win. Nodebusters usually have more in depth gameplay, they're still very simple but you can maximize the resources you get by playing well.
I feel like many of these issues could be solved by actually using the little character you have. The way the game is now it feels like it could be played with most of its visuals stripped away. You pick up as many bombs as you can carry then run to the mines and throw them, the bombs would hit the first place they touched, that'd add more strategy to where you throw the bombs, you'd need to think about what is beneath what you're throwing, instead of just mindlesly clicking over the place.
