So, this game is a bit weird. It has an interesting concept, but in my opinion, it has a few issues that need to be fixed or rethought.
First of all, the grandpa tutorial pop-ups are very annoying. There has to be another way to teach the mechanics to the player without being so invasive. There's just too much text interrupting the flow of the game every 30 seconds.
The main concept is simple. You harvest spores and caps, and you have different types of mushrooms that basically do the same thing: harvest spores and caps so you can buy upgrades and more mushrooms to harvest even more spores and caps. It's a very circular concept, but okay.
Despite being simple in paper, the game also feels a bit all over the place in some areas. At a certain point, you start winning random bonuses, but then you also enter a minigame where one mushroom throws another at some shiny blobs. After that, you get ANOTHER minigame, this time involving a pachinko machine. That's where the game completely lost me. I was like, "Wait, what am I even playing? Wasn't this a game about mushrooms? Why am I suddenly playing pachinko with iridescent balls?"
It feels completely out of context and too random. It honestly felt like the dev had some old pachinko code from a previous project and decided to put it in here. Otherwise, I have no idea what it is supposed to represent.
It's also difficult to develop any kind of strategy. The game is very chaotic, and the upgrades are very repetitive, so I mostly just bought whatever was available without even reading the descriptions. I tend to be against upgrade trees, but one might actually make more sense here, because the upgrades currently seem to just appear one after another, and you're supposed to buy them as they become available without thinking too much about your choices. Sometimes the upgrades are not even the ones you want, you probably expect building upgrades but you get upgrades from other mushrooms.
The building part is okay, but the prices become very high at some point. I don't think the game's economy has been properly tested yet, and I'm sure some things could be tweaked.
Taking into account that the game is still in the "prototype" stage, there's definitely room to fix some of these issues. I think it needs a few small changes and some major ones, but the foundation is solid, and it could easily become an enjoyable experience.
