If you've played Idle Dice it's very similar, except it uses the cards as the main mechanic rather than just a prestige mechanic. Still haven't gotten my first ascension yet (which I believe is when you buy all 52 cards to lay down) but will laugh if the ascension is dice.

Edit: After having ascended enough to have a full set of ascended cards and reached the point where I could ascend again, it gives me the option to ascend again, but won't accept me clicking "yes." The fact that it does this really leaves me hopeful that there will be more content in the future, but as it is now it's best to look at it as a short and satisfying idle.
