It's super annoying to get it started but I sort of figured it out.

Basically clicks do nothing outside of upgrades. Scroll wheel to zoom out so you can see what's around. Start with the loop of forest->cauldron->shop. Buy floors to the house to get witches and start automating things.

The cultist circle is some buffs but this is the prestige system, assign enough witches to it then sac them to get a rune, then over to the tablet of prestige, hold click and restart with the option to choose rune upgrades.
