Ydunian Prune review

Short; feels like more of a demo than a game, but fundamentally does what it set out to do, and doesn't ask for much of your time. That said, thieves are miserable early on; there's apparently also a huge difficulty spike around the time guards become available, which can lead to a bad ending, though that didn't affect my playthrough. I got to what seems like the "good" end (a dialog box saying I'm the most influential person in history) but the game continued, and I kept getting attacked. Upgrades aren't well explained (water fills up a meter on the tree which lets you make it bigger, though the bigger tree doesn't seem to produce fruit faster, that's what fertilizer does) and I couldn't figure out what specifically triggered progression. So there's a lot of rough edges that need polishing, but it has a good core.
