What a neat little gem of a game! There's a bit of grindiness, but at its current size and pacing (approximately two hours of content, with a few mid-game walls but a consistent sense of progression) that didn't bother me, and the rest of it comes together quite solidly.
The dev is responsive and has made some QOL improvements since the game was first released, and while it does still bottleneck at a few points on mid-game resources (mushrooms mostly), I rarely found myself without some option to upgrade, not to mention that every run increased power whether I had any crafting upgrades available or not. There are a few fun surprises, like the buddy you pick up early on and a late-game twist. (There's even a second ending for 100% completion.) Recommended.
