A pretty solid game, if a little standard, in its own right, but the gimmick and goofy meta jokes make it a winner. The game's highest prestige level is "versions"--you start with v0.0.1 and gradually work your way through "updates" until v1.0. The core game is decent enough, with varying mechanics being added, but a lot of the updates are just silly. The game adds the option to watch an ad for a little extra currency, but the ads don't work so you just stare at a black screen for a few seconds and get the points, and then the ads are patched out. There's also completely meaningless changes where things are renamed in every single patch. You can get through this in a few days or less pretty easily, it might be a little too standard without the flavor text and gimmick but that puts it over the top.
