As the developer of this title, my review might not be entirely objective, and typically, I wouldn't write a review for my own game. However, since there's currently only one review here, and it's quite negative—despite numerous positive reviews on Reddit—I wanted to take a moment to share my vision and the current state of the game.
First of all, this game is still in its early stages. Content is currently limited, although completing what's available should still take several hours. There might be balance issues and gameplay elements will certainly evolve significantly over time. Game development is a long journey, and this isn't my first project—so bear with me, as I promise many exciting updates ahead. As they say, "let me cook!" :)
The game's most distinctive aspect is its emphasis on knowledge rather than daily economic management. Your perspective here is long-term. You're not simply managing survival; you're guiding humanity to discover entirely new methods and forms of knowledge. Producers aren't buildings, individuals, or physical resources—they're knowledge providers in various forms. I understand this concept can be unusual at first, so I'm actively working to provide better onboarding and tutorials.
Currently, the game is set in the Stone Age. Once fully developed, players will advance through different ages, each featuring unique knowledge sets. Some knowledge types may reappear across multiple ages, but they'll grow in complexity. I've chosen these knowledge types to align closely with historical accuracy.
Right now, the absence of a proper tutorial can create confusion, but addressing this is already in my immediate plans.
Here's what's coming up next:
Upcoming Update:
Prestige system and Prestige upgrades
Simplified tutorial for new players
Fixed sound settings
Enhanced visual effects
Performance optimizations, especially for Edge browsers
Additional Wonders, Battles, and Great Persons
Official Steam page launch and playable demo
Release on App Store and Google Play
Future Updates:
New era: Neolithic (New Stone Age), with additional knowledge points, producers, and more exciting features
Continued visual improvements to enhance your gameplay experience
Your suggestions are always welcome—feel free to share them!
Most importantly, enjoy the game! :)
ps: edited my score to 4 for less effect to user score average, i have no intention to manipulate that. thank you
