Id imagine alot of the downvotes stem from the fact the games progression is very slow, it is incredibly passive, and doesnt follow a traditional incremental game formula. However you cant deny the brilliance of runescapes formula, if it clicks, it clicks hard.

Amazing mod support, and loads of different game modes to keep things more engaging. A standard save might interest a newcomer but if you know how things work it quickly gets dull when compared to adventure and relic mode. Theres speedrunners, hardcore combat only players (perma-death, no skilling), casuals, completionists etc. This game has alot to offer imo.
