It's an interesting take on the scenario of an incremental without big numbers. Automation upgrades are few and far between, and feel like they work against you in the long run as they reduce the benefit of 50% boost per full resource. Configuration options, or just a smarter behaviour by default, would be good (i.e. don't boost resource B if it would take A's refill time below X milliseconds).
It would be nice if the recharge time of each resource was shown somewhere. This would allow us to prioritise and balance how to progress. I see it's shown in a tooltip if you hover over each resource, but an option to have this permanently in view would be good.
EDIT after playthrough: I was a little harsh and didn't give the automation a fair chance. For the size and scale of the game it works fine, and lets you have some idle time between the later tiers. It helps active play a bit, though maybe not as much as I'd have liked - I still had fun though.
