Lately there's been a real deluge of these shallow game demos, all featuring this super generic upgrade tree and all of them feature a steam wishlist option. Are these made with a template or something?

I'm not against anyone trying to make money as a gamedev. I feel like these are super uninspired and dull. Of all the things you could make, why this?
