This should really be marked as a demo or prototype rather than early access, honestly. You reach the point you expect to prestige at...and it just restarts the game verbatim and says you won, basically. To anyone reading, the jumpgate is not at all worth waiting to purchase, don't bother. It's especially egregious with how long I had to wait to get enough metal.
The reason for that is that you can build drones which take metal to make more drones. I invested fairly heavily in this since the price of making drones with research was getting steep...only to see the price of metal to make drones gets just as steep. Only there's no way to turn off or deconstruct these drones, so they now act as a permanent drain on your metal, even when they barely ever make a new drone for you. So depending on just how heavily you invest in these, it could take you an hour to get enough metal for the jump gate. The lack of ability to disable or remove them or control how much metal they consume in any way...is a pretty glaring flaw here, I'm afraid.
Aside from that, giving this a 1 star instead of 2 because there's just...so, so little here. Expected a lot more given the nice art and promise of more, and then...after 10 minutes of playing, it's time for a long wait and end credits. If there was more substance here, or at least more ideas that showed potential, or even just wasn't presented in a way that got my hopes up, it might be 2 stars, but this feels like a 1 star experience to me. I wouldn't even call this a demo, personally.
