Idle Mage Life review
1

Calling this "inspired by" Progress Knight in a footnote is wild when the entire first 30 minutes is virtually unchanged from the original.

I didn't play longer than that once I noticed strength XP buffs were broken. (maybe due to being misspelled "strenght"?)

I know the creator made the game entirely public domain (licensed under "unlicense" https://github.com/ihtasham42/progress-knight/blob/main/LICENSE)...

...but I feel like you could be a bit more honest about how much you took here? This is like taking The Great Gatsby, changing the title and only rewriting the last chapter, and then re-releasing it crediting yourself as the author. Just be honest about what it is, you'd get more eyes on it and more goodwill instead of scowls.

EDIT: After reading other reviews, curiousity got the better of me and I pushed through to rebirth (year 200). Was very disappointed; it's extremely unbalanced in its current state; you get to year 200 way too easily/quickly and on only your second life, making a lot of what you do during that second life a complete waste of time if you aren't aware of it, since rebirth nukes all "max exp" progress. And the rebirth upgrades just weren't interesting enough to want to replay another verison Progress Knight, yet again, slightly sped up. (The first rebirth upgrade you'll take is 2x speed, and then seeing other rebirth upgrades include "get more rebirth points" etc it's like... yeah, nah. It's not an engaging gameplay loop to me here, not nearly enough gameplay variation)
