If i rate this as either a game jam or a prototype in both cases it's gonna be the same but for different reasons.
This game is the usual side scrolling run/fighting game, so there's not really much many differences, other than roguelite upgrades you collect.
First the biggest problem as a game jam game, it's far too slow a game jam is supposed to be a farly fast game where you can experience most if not in it's totality what the game has to offer, but this game barely touch it's surface in the first hour you wont even have more than 10 or so of the roguelite itens/upgrades, and it takes a really long time to experience any speeding in progression, but the strenght progression is easily noticed you will be able to reach higher and higher levels without problems, it will just take a long time.
As a prototype there's other expectations like how polished it is, this one dont have much information about what each upgrade does, or how much exp each enemy gives/exp for next level, some may seen unecessary specially for a jam game, that is why i think its fine.
There's some QoL that i would expect from this if turned into a full game, like being able to end a run at any time, being able to skip some of the early bosses/waves, and automation for upgrades since it even has an auto restart for runs.
