Idle Loops: Lloyd review
5

Original time loop style incremental game. Pretty confusing content development due to multiple branches building up on each other. The current most up to date version is the dmchurch fork (first part the link), which adds QoL and post-game content to the Lloyd fork.

The game itself has strongpoints and weakpoints. It has a rewarding feeling of progression with a lot to complete and nice flavor text for everything you complete. It also makes doing one specific action so much better than everything else that you can generally divide the game in 3 phases: somehow get to farm the action, farm the action, finish the rest of the game. That is imo not super intuitive and also makes a bunch of the other actions in the game seem less fun if theyre effectively just a means to do the one important one better.

Still 5 stars because it kind of invented the genre and the positives feel more important than the negatives.
