After barely killing the first boss i died on the next level but it didn't allow me to go back to the camp. It kept giving me popups to go the next level, i think. No matter what option i took i couldn't get out of it.

It ended with me "beating" all the levels. Yeah can't recommend it at all

Whatever gameplay there was seemed pretty boring, not much player input that mattered. Unless i missed something in the combat phase.
