The demo shows promise. It's still full of rough edges -- for example, the fish stick maker (which requires proximity to a potato source and a fish source) seems to be bugged, as I placed one adjacent to a scarecrow and a fisherman and it didn't produce anything. The UI is still a bit clunky, and it could use a little rebalancing (I played an entire game without ever seeing some of the rare resources used by some unit types, and the map was littered with shrines that kept me from deploying units and only provided useless boosts to adjacent squares). But the core gameplay loop is solid, and I look forward to seeing this in a final version with some polish added.
