Fantastic Annihilation review
3

A race-against-time clicker where you scale up your capacity to kill versus continual population growth, trying to reduce population to zero to win. Possible to beat on the first run with an auto-clicker or the second run without one. Further replays let you buy additional ways to make the game easier, including automation, but there's not much incentive to do so -- especially given multiple slow-paced story segments that don't change on a replay. (The initial conversation is skippable; the first talk with anii-chan is partially skippable with the space bar but not the mouse; the ending sequence must be replayed in full each time.)

If you do want to go through the grind, three tips: 1) anii-chan (the first automated unit) keeps scaling as you proceed, but the other units don't; 2) buying 1 of each click upgrade is required to unlock the automated units, but buying more click upgrades is inefficient; 3) once you can beat the game, prioritize buying time extensions, because you earn prestige currency based on time remaining.
