This is another slick, clean, polished-looking game that tragically reveals as you play it that absolutely zero thought was given to balancing the game; pacing sucks, NONE of the loot item buffs work as advertised, new weapons cost prestige currency and are worse than what you already had, lots of issues.

I don't THINK this is an AI game but I understand the accusations in the steam reviews, and it hints at the real issue here:

Whoever balanced these things made completely arbitrary decisions without any thought about how it would play, and (most critically) didn't playtest their own game to find out.
