Max Manos 2 review

So far I'm finding it very underwhelming compared to the first game. The gameplay loop has been way less satisfying to me and a lot more repetitive, and the upgrades have been really disappointing.

Fully 80% of the "new skills" I've unlocked so far are "the exact same skill as previous but more expensive" (max out all levels of "increased damage" to unlock "increased damage II" skill... and then "increased damage III"...).

Frustratingly, nothing tells you "by how much" it increases values for anything, so it never really feels like you're making an informed decision, just taking shots in the dark. (does the 2nd skill that costs way more drastically increase my damage compared to before, or only a little? should I prioritize the "more stamina" skill or is the "less stamina drain" skill more valuable? etc)

I'm only at around floor 70, haven't seen any of the prestige content I'm sure the game has (right? I hope?) and I think it'd improve my final impression of it if it's anything like the first game's, but I'll be too busy to play things for a while and the first couple hours at least have been boring and mindless enough to rec against it.
