Contrary to Paperclips, which the game freely admits it's inspired on, in this game there is no overarching narrative. There is not even a connection. Not a paper-thin, flimsy, casual excuse of a connection. This detracts a lot from the experience.
The game, as it is, is played on the first run. Following runs are merely rinse-and-repeat-but-faster. There are no extra mechanics unlocked. Plus, from the main stats, the first one (coffee remaining in mug) becomes obsolete and is not looked at again after the first three cups or so. While the "Caffeine Level" does... about nothing, in fact.
Even the supposed QoL "feature" of showing the cost-efficiency of the different options end up substracting, instead of adding. Right from the start, Worker #1 is interchangeable with Worker #2, etc. No decisions needed.
Last (but annoyingly, not least) the framing is just wrong. There is no way to fit the content in the screen, which forces the player to scroll for no benefit. This is tolerable... until you reach a point where the wrong layout makes the game to start "flip-flapping", with a line flashing all the content up-and-down a few times per second. Amateurish, I can tolerate. But this is plain lazy.
