There are ways in which this game feels unusually polished, and also ways which make it feel like it was never playtested.
It's got a lot of features that many games of this type never bother with -- tooltips and help menus, cute incidental art and nice animations, two dozen languages, even the basic QOL feature of starting out with two weapon slots so you can pursue different build paths (big slow weapons for extra damage or small quick weapons for more efficient farming). But the help menu pops up at unexpected times only to vanish again, and when you try to bring it up manually it's an adventure figuring out how to close it; equipping and unequipping weapons consistently takes multiple clicks without any feedback as to why your attempts are failing; and Itch.io comments suggest that the translations are awful.
The upgrade tree starts out promising, with a few upgrades that double your starting combat damage and Quality and Efficiency (hover your mouse over the buff list to see what each stat does), and then immediately starts spamming you with cheap upgrades which give you something like a 0.5% boost to a stat for a few dollars; after 10-20 rounds of additional purchasing which have entirely failed to change any aspect of your gameplay, taking you from 200% to 201% money earned in a game that only rewards you in increments of whole dollars, you start plateauing, chasing upgrades that cost hundreds of dollars when you're earning around 15-30 per round. Navigating the skill tree is a slow nightmare at close zooms, and at distant zooms the description boxes shrink along with the grid, making it difficult to read what you're doing.
That's about where I gave up. This definitely needs some refinement to smooth out the play experience, make each upgrade meaningful, and fix the grind walls (if it's this bad in early game, I don't want to see how bad it gets later). That said, there's clearly a lot of effort put into the elements which HAVE been polished, so there's potential here if basic gameplay is brought up to that standard.
