I'm gonna throw the developer a lifeline as he tried to make amends. I'll review the game as such.

The game is interesting, painfully slow at times and the monetization slightly fishy. Nonetheless it has a nice atmosphere and after the "Dark Estate" can be idled a little bit better.

I'm a bit worried about reaching a failed state and being forced to start again (I'm accumulating madness like crazy), that adds to the thrill of it, but I would not replay at the present speed. But this hasn't happened yet so don't know what awaits me.

One can see a lot of work and love being put into it. It doesn't feel like a cash grab so chill out.
