King & Country review

Most of the recent games posted here that are not vibecoded, bug riddled micro-transaction focused slop are simplistic 30 minute playthroughs. Compared to these, this is an okay, working, simple 5h society sim.

There are however two parts and after finishing the first one after 5h there is a second one that has no connection to the first and is a needless time gate simulator. The second part takes 2h if you understand what you need to do and way longer if you don't.

The first one is okay but not great either, there are a couple mechanics that would need more explanation and the majority of the mechanics are simple multiplication. I don't think the negative reviews regarding automation are valid as pretty much every upgrade has a "buy max" button after you interacted with that upgrade for more than 10 mins. You realistically only need to click those 3ish times after they appear because the gains are so low anyway. There are even autobuy options, but those are mostly bad because you really don't want to spend your money on the old upgrades to max constantly (they become very very bad).
