I try to be very positive, but I feel like I've seen so many clones of the same game, enemies rushing to the center, timed attack (either bullets or area damage), upgrade tree, rinse and repeat.

Just to name a few and that's just scrolling games added in the last few weeks. Why are there so many similar games with a different skin?
