Balance is out of wack, perks seem pointless, the refinery upgrades seen in the demo feel useless, grinding the same levels over and over multiple times for a single upgrade feels overall bad. Bonus cash is the most impactful part of your revenue, but it doesn't increase on the later levels, so they're just a waste of time. I feel like the game is actively disincentivizing me from engaging with later content. Gameplay is satisfying, mixing it up with the jackhammer is good, this has potential, and I do mean potential, because the game right now feels good, but is bad. You have a potentially good idea here. You have a baseline. But this feels... AI generated to an extent? Not even trying to use that as an insult, some things just feel that out of place. Why are perks there? why are some perks just instant cash? are they random? why does it feel like it's trying to be a roguelike? why would I spend one of my very limited perks in having... More perk choices in the future? why can the same perk show up multiple times in the same screen? Why is the refinery... Like that? It just wastes your time between levels, you collect it when you finish, so the actual production speed is irrelevant - So why can you make it refine faster? I get loading it faster, because doing it is boring. But I feel like that shouldn't be a thing in the first place? Make it engaging, make it a minigame or something. Move barrels around physically, or anything, really. I'm just. Baffled by this game. Its quality is as inconsistent as trying to draw a perfect circle.
