One of the best games in the genre. Well balanced and the soldiers are a nice touch. I'd suggest elemental defenses like a wall of fire and better stats. As it grows perhaps a balance of an element / physical damage based node tree.

Also I think the way leaders come out isn't the best. I'd prefer if they were individually strong, or killed soldiers and had some space between then and the normal enemies
