Not really much to do here. Buy knowledge capacity so you can amass the knowledge to buy faster generation, so you can more quickly get more capacity. If you overrun your capacity you start losing sanity, if you run out of that you start losing knowledge. That's it. There's a lot more stuff you can buy than you actually need to summon Cthulhu, and it's generally just... slow and unrewarding.
