ChromeDome review

I tried to play it three times already and it has two major issues that put me off every time.

-It's clearly made with AI, and the interface is too AI-ish, those kind of games tend to really put me off but I still force myself to keep playing for a bit to see if there's something interesting. And other than the map I didn't find anything that made it stand out from other similar games.

-It's too overwhelming, when games throw everything they have at me the second I open them up, something is wrong. Instead of easing the player in you already know you can buy and sell Satellites while you haven't even figured out how to gather food yet. Probably unlock elements by level to let the player get familiarized with the game instead of throwing everything you have at them and confuse them for like 10 minutes until they figure out what they must do.

It's really hard to sell a text based game with an AI looking UI nowadays. Still it has potential, I'd divide in "player stages" where in the first stage you focus on the basics (food, wood, basic materials) and as you reach Dome levels 5, 10, 15 and so on you unlock new things. That way you don't overwhelm the player with too much information and they can focus on what's important. And I'd change the AI look for something different, like Vector Art icons or a pixel art grid where you can place the farms and houses and all that.
