I got as far as cotton before I tapped out. My save file says 34% complete.
It's frustrating. There's elements of a game here that I would enjoy, but the way that the game is balanced makes it feel extremely tedious.
Even as you do manage to automate things, there's always a "newest" resource or set of resources that require manually clicking at a more grueling pace.
It's like if you were playing Factorio, but instead of having to just manually mine stone/etc during the very start of the game, you had to perpetually manually mine resources at every stage of the game.
The relatively high costs (in the early game, at least) of automation structures, and the way that resource caps of structures are balanced (even after upgrading) also contribute a lot to it feeling really tedious, requiring a lot of micromaangement to move things around and craft things. Extraction pylon helps a bit, but you'll want to craft several even just for wood because it's agonizingly slow.
If I had playtested this prior to release I probably would have suggested increasing resource caps on crafitng stations (so they run longer0, inflating upgrade costs, and reworking (lowering) the cost of various pylons and structures to put a much higher emphasis on setting up automation/production chains over the manual clicking focus the current balance has.
I might come back to it another day, but I suspect I'll quickly tire of it again if I do. Using an autoclicker would probably help.
