AI Magnate is a free browser-based incremental tycoon game where you run your own AI research lab from 2015 to 2030. Start with $30 million in seed funding and try to reach AGI before rival labs beat you to it. No download, no install, no microtransactions.

Train your own AI models

Design models from scratch — choose what they can do, where their training data comes from, and how much you invest in safety. Models age over time, so staying ahead of the competition is not optional. Miss a generation and your users start leaving.

Build a research engine

Invest in upgrades that unlock better capabilities, open new distribution channels, and keep your lab at the frontier. Long-term research strategy is what separates the winners from the labs that quietly run out of runway.

Manage your money (and your runway)

Your lab burns cash every month. Balance ambitious training runs against your finances. Overspend on a big model and suddenly 2030 feels very far away — or you don't make it at all.

Run a real business

Launch Free, Pro, and Max subscription tiers. Set pricing, manage user churn, and adjust your ad strategy for the free tier. Revenue decisions matter just as much as research ones.

Compete in a living market

Rival AI labs — Titan Systems and NovaCore — are racing alongside you. They release competing models, undercut your users, and don't slow down for anyone. The global AI timeline moves forward whether you're ready or not.

The end goal: AGI by 2030

Build foundation models, reach frontier capability, assemble an agentic system, and launch responsibly. Your final score is based on five things: AGI readiness, model quality, research breakthroughs, financial performance, and your safety record. Lead humanity into the age of AGI — or go bankrupt chasing the dream.

Current status

The core game is fully playable: model training, research, compute management, product tiers, rival AI companies, and the leaderboard are all in. The desktop UI is still being polished but works fine. Coming soon: Tycoon Mode (endless sandbox), multimodal AI capabilities, expanded safety mechanics, and larger economic events.
