Comments from players indicate the extreme difficulty and time commitment required: "You took a game literally all about timewalls, and made it even more of a timewall." and "this isn't even gaming anymore but straight up torture". The developer has responded to feedback regarding the difficulty, explaining that while stats might be slightly worse, "Hell mode is mainly gonna be reasonable because of getting lots of artifacts over time." However, they acknowledge that "the scaling for rewards based on kills has been nerfed and each consecutive kill scales x3 in stats rather than x2."
