Harvest gold and artifacts, then use those riches to upgrade and grow your dwarven empire — so you can devour even bigger mountains!
Hire a diverse army of dwarves and deploy mighty artillery, each mastering unique methods of carving mountains.
From trusty pickaxes and dynamite throwers, to colossal ballistae, flamers and laser cannons. Plus scientists, runesmiths, alelords and spelunkers, all working together to maximize extraction. Each unit boasts a deep upgrade tree for specializing in different styles of mining.
However, hurting the mountain physically (and emotionally) is only half the battle, as the glittering gold it produces must also be brought back to your stash. Indeed, this is the perilous and noble job of the Runners, who dance amongst the falling rocks, risking their beards to retrieve riches for the Great Maw!
But beware as the Great Mother won't let go of her shiny children easily. The more damage the dwarves cause to the mountain, the more the calamity bar grows, until it erupts and unleashes devastating disasters upon the wobbling beards below!
Managing your gold production and retrieval, while making sure the sky doesn't fall on your head, will be a careful balancing act.
