You play as a cursor controlled patch daemon defending the network from the Null corruption. Each run you will need to destroy malicious digital entities and defeat bosses whilst collecting bitshards. Between runs, you return to the control plane to unlock passive and active skills in the DevOps UI using the bitshards and root keys collected. The cursor driven movement system allows for interesting combos as some skills fire off from the players cursor and some from the players daemon. For example, you can fire off an AOE explosion form your deamon and then use the teleport blink skill to move to the cursor to get away from danger. Or you can actually draw out a line with the cursor that detonates 2seconds later.
